I am excited (and a little scared ; ) ) to announce that it's time for our annual Summer Slumber!!
De Boa Kids come send off the summer with a Jiu Jitsu sleep over on the mats!
All De Boa Kids from 8-14 are welcome!
July 29th 8pm - July 30th 7am
At De Boa Jiu Jitsu Academy
Jiu Jitsu, games, movies, and more!!

Packing list:
Sack lunch (snack, drink) *We will provide water and snacks as-well!
Sleeping Bag
Pillow
Tooth brush/paste
Change of clothes
AND of coarse your gi!

Are you Bully Proof?

Do you feel confident that your child could defend themselves against an attacker or at-least get away? If you can't say yes to this question....come try out our Bully Proofing classes! 1 Friday per month 5:30 to 6:30pm at De Boa.

This months "Bully Proof" class is July 22nd, 2016.

This class is always FREE to all kids ages 6 & up so bring a friend and learn how to deal with bullying, learn self defense and meet some awesome new friends.
Our main goal is always to teach the safest way to deal with a bad situation and of-coarse avoid a fight but, if necessary to fight back or escape, we will help kids feel confident in using the most effective methods.

2016 Arizona State CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2016 Arizona State Championship will take place on June 25th & 26th
Desert Vista High School
16440 S 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85048.
The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition will offer Kids, Juveniles, Adult (Male and Female), and Masters Divisions.

De Boa Jiu Jitsu Academy will be closed Sat & Sun to encourage all De Boa members to come down and support your Jiu Jitsu Family!

We are excited to have 52 competitors representing One Jiu Jitsu
29 of which are out of De Boa!

This Friday, June 10th is "Bring your parent to class night"
Class will be held at the usual time 5:30 - 6:30 pm and will be No-Gi. We will cover some BJJ basics and self-defense. Suit up in your gym gear and join us for some great quality family time!
*Grand Parents/Aunt/Uncle etc...is ok too!

Teen Open Mat

Per many request's from our teens, we have decided to hold a TEEN ONLY open mat Friday May 13th from 8 - 9pm.
Teens (that means the word "teen" needs to be in your age) Come join us May 13th, 2016 for 1st Friday Teen Open Mat at De Boa.
This will be a great opportunity to get in some training and hang out with your teammates in a fun, chill atmosphere!
Music, jiu jitsu and friends....doesn't get much better then that!
