Professor Andrew Gardineer
Giva Santana Black Belt. Andrew teaches all of our main Jiu Jitsu classes and over-sees our kids and women's programs as-well. Andrew has over 13 years of experience training and instructing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Andrew takes pride in his teaching and enjoys watching his students grow and learn. Andrew competes on a regular basis, is a certified IBJJF and NABJJF referee, keeping his knowledge of competition rules and guidelines up to date.

Professor Logan Jewell
Logan, an accomplished Black Belt competitor and instructor, has been a great addition to the academy. Logan is a great instructor and enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge with others.

Professor Leslie Gardineer
Black Belt, Pan American & Masters World Champion. Leslie has been teaching an all female BJJ class for over 9 years, averaging 20 girls per class and helps run our kids BJJ classes as-well. Leslie, owner of "Just a Girl in a JIu Jitsu World", an all female jiu jitsu website, blog specializing in BJJ for the ladies, has a great connection in the Jiu Jitsu community. Leslie regularly attends seminars and events for females, always keeping up with the latest techniques to benefit women in competition and for self defense.

Professor Gene Garcia
Giva Santana Black Belt, Pan American Champion.
Gene has been practicing for over 10 years and is a huge asset to our school and team, pushing our competitors, teaching and working with our intro program. He has always had interest in the martial arts from childhood he started off in karate and then on to high school wrestling he found his passion once again in late 2002 in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Gene really enjoys sharing his knowledge and we feel very lucky to have him at De Boa.

William Walsh Giva Santana Brown Belt, Will started his Jiu Jitsu career in 2008 and has over 4 years experience as an instructor, he has incredible skills in helping others learn the art. Will works with our Into to Jiu Jitsu program and also helps out in our Adult class. We are very happy to have Will at team De Boa, he does a great job making sure others are getting the most out of class. |
Professor Andy Campa
Giva Santana Black Belt, Andy originally started training BJJ in 1998 under Micah Pittman (Nelson Monteiro, Gracie Barra) in San Diego, Ca. he received Blue Belt in 1999 from Micah Pittman. Andy injured himself (herniated disc) in 1999 and didn't train for 10 years. In 2009 he decided to go back to the art/sport he fell in love with and returned to BJJ as a white belt with the goal of one day reaching Black Belt. In 2013, he received his Brown Belt this year from Professor Andrew Gardineer. Andy strives to learn and teach new techniques to better his own Jiu-Jitsu and the Jiu-Jitsu of his students. Andy provides De Boa students a place where they can better their skills, fitness, and Jiu-Jitsu in a safe, professional and FUN atmosphere. De Boa is proud to have Andy on board. |
