Professor Andrew Gardineer

Giva Santana Black Belt. Andrew teaches all of our main Jiu Jitsu classes and over-sees our kids and women's programs as-well. Andrew has close to 20 years of experience training and instructing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  Andrew takes pride in his teaching and enjoys watching his students grow and learn. Andrew competes on a regular basis, is a certified IBJJF and NABJJF referee, keeping his knowledge of competition rules and guidelines up to date.

Professor Logan Jewell

Logan, an accomplished Black Belt competitor and instructor, has been a great addition to the academy. Logan is a great instructor and enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge with others.

Professor Leslie Gardineer

Black Belt, Masters Worlds Champion, Blue Belt Pan American & Masters World Champion 2013.  Leslie has been teaching an all female BJJ class for over 11 years, averaging 20 girls per class and is the head instructor for our kids BJJ classes as-well. Leslie,  has a great connection in the Jiu Jitsu community. Leslie regularly attends seminars and events for females, always keeping up with the latest techniques to benefit women in competition and for self defense.

Howard has been practicing for over 10 years and is a huge asset to our school and team, pushing our competitors, teaching and working with our competition program. Howard really enjoys sharing his knowledge and we feel very lucky to have him at De Boa.

Giva Santana Black Belt, Will Walsh

Professor Will started his journey early in 2008 and began competing and teaching in 2010.  

With a passion for martial arts and teaching, Will brings his professional teaching, speaking and leadership skills to De Boa's early morning classes. Leveraging relatable stories and focused demonstrations, he strives to effectively empart the concepts of Jiu Jitsu to our students.

 Professor Andy Campa
Giva Santana Black Belt, Andy
originally started training BJJ in 1998 under Micah Pittman (Nelson Monteiro, Gracie Barra) in San Diego, Ca. he received Blue Belt in 1999 from Micah Pittman. Andy injured himself (herniated disc) in 1999 and didn't train for 10 years. In 2009 he decided to go back to the art/sport he fell in love with and returned to BJJ as a white belt with the goal of one day reaching Black Belt. In 2013, he received his Brown Belt this year from Professor Andrew Gardineer.  Andy strives to learn and teach new techniques to better his own Jiu-Jitsu and the Jiu-Jitsu of his students. Andy provides De Boa students a place where they can better their skills, fitness, and Jiu-Jitsu in a safe, professional and FUN atmosphere. De Boa is proud to have Andy on board.

Professor Chris Alexander

Professor Chris has been an awesome part of our kids program, Chris travels for work and has the opportunity to train all over the states. Chris brings back some cool, different  techniques, drills and skills every time he joins in to teach.

Jon & Leti have been an incredible part of our kids program for several years now, they are kind, patient and help to push our kids not only to be great at jiu jitsu but, as human beings as-well.

Purple Belt ​Shane Bridges

Shane has been a great addition to our new kids advanced class. Shane has a strict and serious (but, a little fun) demeanor, the kids react well and stay focused, he a tons of passion for jiu jitsu and helping the kids team improve. Shane also runs our Thursday night kids no-gi class.

Joey is amazing with our kids team, bringing some cool advanced techniques to our kids competition class and teaching the kids to enjoy jiu jitsu while staying focused and working hard.

​Rachel has been helping in our kids program for close to a year now. She studies, brain storms and always brings a different element of fun and knowledge to class.

Rita and Steven are an awesome husband and wife coaching team! They have patience and understanding and have been incredible with our little ones! They have 3 boys of their own and the entire family trains at De Boa!
